Rainbow Six Quarantine release date, gameplay, and trailer
While Rainbow Six Siege has the PvP market cornered, there’s a gap in the market for a tactical co-op shooter – and it’s a hole that Ubisoft is looking to fill with Rainbow Six Quarantine. Revealed alongside the likes of Watch Dogs: Legion at Ubisoft’s E3 2019 showcase, Rainbow Six Quarantine is an upcoming PvE shooter inspired by the hugely popular limited-time Outbreak event in Rainbow Six Siege.
The basis for Quarantine is simple; it’s a three-player tactical co-op shooter that tasks players with working and fighting together against a new type of threat; a technological parasite.
It should provide an interesting experience when compared to the PvP focused Siege, and if it’s anything like the Outbreak event from 2018, it’ll prove very popular with both Siege fans and those new to the series.
When is the Rainbow Six Quarantine release date?
It’s a standalone title due out at some point in the financial year 2021-22 – in layman’s terms, that means any time between April 2021 and March 2022. It was originally due to come out in the financial year before that, but a delay was announced in October 2020.
What platforms will it be on?
Ubisoft has confirmed that it’ll be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Given the release date and Ubisoft’s usual model, it’s also a safe bet that it will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X, Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
